Janet has been a CPA since 1985. She is a graduate w/honors from Belmont University, Nashville, TN with a BBA in Accounting and Tax Systems. She is married with two daughters and resides in Roswell, GA. Janet began her accounting career in Atlanta with Halligan & Assoc. CPA's in 1985. In 1989, she became a partner. Upon the death of Tony Halligan in 1992, Janet left Halligan to become a partner with the Lindsey Group, CPA's until she founded her own tax practice in 2001.

Says Janet, "I really wanted to focus my efforts on helping my business owner clients truly understand the numbers behind the accounting process. A tax return is merely an historical account of 'past' events. I want to find out the 'why' of what the numbers represent so that the client and I can better communicate. I read an article once about Dizzy Gillespie, the great jazz trumpeter who said that Miles Davis came to him once for a trumpet lesson. Dizzy said, ‘Great, let's first go to the piano,’ and Miles replied, ‘Man, I don't know nothin 'bout no piano, I play the trumpet.’ But Dizzy said everything about music starts at the piano, and you can't really get into the music without knowing something about the piano.
“Of course, I don't expect my clients to know everything about accounting, but if I can help them to understand what the numbers mean and why, then I can better demonstrate to them how to make more money and to recognize a potential problem BEFORE it gets out of hand.”

Holly (Xiaohong) Zeng, Accountant

Holly began her career as an accounting clerk at Hainan University after graduating from Sichuan University in 1989. After moving to the United States, Holly earned her BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and then her MBA from Bradley University. Most of her professional experience has been working with mid-sized companies and individuals. Holly has been a valued member of the Killingsworth team since 2002.
